My Sexual Self is a video from the Cancer’s Margins project. This project used a community-and-arts based approach to exploring sexual and gender diversity, and experiences of cancer health, support and care. The researchers worked with the participants to develop a series of digital stories that looked at how LGBT2Q people locate and share knowledge after they’ve been diagnosed and treated for breast or gynecologic cancer.
My Sexual Self is a meticulous and joyous narration of the story of the effects of ovarian cancer treatment on feeling sexual and the experience of seeking support from cancer care providers, as a lesbian.
