This guide was developed by the National LGBTQIA+ Health Centre (US) to help health care staff provide an affirmative, inclusive, and respectful environment for all clients, with a focus on lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people. The course provides background information on LGBT people and their health needs, tips and strategies to improve communication and create a more affirming and inclusive environment, helpful resources and a glossary of terms.
