Back in October 2025, we hosted our first Community of Practice gathering. We were joined by Laura Imayoshi and Alphonse Daniel for a powerful conversation exploring the intersections of gender identity and cancer care.

Laura spoke about navigating their breast cancer diagnosis alongside a profound gender shake-up, while Alphonse shared insights on building meaningful connections with queer and trans people in healthcare settings - those small moments that can determine whether someone feels seen or invisible. We also spent time in small groups, getting to know one another and reflecting on our shared commitment to more inclusive cancer care.
